As 2023 draws to a close, we’re celebrating the many opportunities we’ve had to share in healthy and flavorful food here at Fustini’s. We are so grateful to our Fustini’s family for exploring and growing with us–and cooking alongside us in our own kitchens. Thank you for your continued support and for being part of this wonderful community.
Here are a few of the many highlights of 2023 in our Fustini’s community:
Fustini’s Cares
Early in the year, we kicked off an ongoing campaign we call “Fustini’s Cares.” In this initiative, Fustini’s donates 1% of every sale to Community Action House, Manna Food Project, Food Gatherers, or Food Rescue. Read more about this intentional opportunity in this blog article.
New Product Labels
This year, our bottles also experienced a refresh in look and feel. Bottles now feature thorough nutritional information, while still keeping those favorite label photos and those resourceful QR codes. We hope you’re as excited as we are to feature those beautiful bottles on your kitchen counter.
Earth Day Bags
On Earth Day this spring, we kicked off an exciting opportunity to get an extra bottle credit on your rewards account when you bring in your Fustini’s reusable bag! Such a fun way to reduce the number of bags used–as well as earn some credit for you, too!
Fustini’s Turns 15
This summer, we celebrated 15 years of Fustini’s Oils & Vinegars! We had some great giveaways and delicious food to recognize our Fustini’s family. Thank you for your continued support!
National Oil & Vinegar Days
This year, we celebrated these important food holidays in a big way! For National Olive Oil Day in September, we gave away free Fustis in a raffle. And both on National Olive Oil Day and National Vinegar Day, we gave away a free 60mL sampler bottle of our treasured Michigan-inspired balsamics with every purchase. What a delicious celebration!
Staff Market Day & Haff-Time Cooking
At Fustini’s, we know that our employees make sharing healthy and flavorful food with you possible. We are so grateful for our team!
We hosted Staff Market Day where our staff was given the opportunity to shop at their local farmers market and whip up some Fustini’s recipes with the produce purchased. It was a great time of shopping–and eating!--local, and inspired new recipes and flavor combinations to share with our community.
We also continued “HAFF-Time” cooking classes, which stands for “Healthy And Flavorful Foods Time”. This is a quarterly gathering of all our team members for a virtual cooking class to learn new recipes, techniques, and enjoy some delicious food.
These are in addition to other initiatives Fustini’s provides, including employee assistance programs and other resources.
Trip to Spain and Italy
This fall, leaders in our organization traveled to Spain and Italy to learn, explore, and especially experience the local mills where we get olive oil from. We also hosted a Welcome Home party to celebrate our new oils. Be on the lookout in early 2024 when we’ll have the SELECT olive oil that we picked out while in Spain!
A Look Ahead to 2024
While 2023 may have seemed to fly by, we’re excited about the exciting things coming up in 2024. We invite you to come with us as we grow and help support our community with healthy and flavorful food.
