Retail Store Manager (Full-Time) - Ann Arbor, MI

Fustini’s Oils & Vinegars seeks an experienced, enthusiastic retail sales manager to lead our Ann Arbor location. We provide an exceptional array of oils and vinegars for home cooking and are looking for a manager to join our growing company. Enthusiasm, interest in cooking, organization and leadership skills are required for this position with growth potential. We offer a competitive salary, health benefits and opportunity for quarterly bonus.

The Store Manager oversees all aspects of running their location. Modeling the “Fustini's Experience” by following the Core Values, the manager assures that every employee understands and follows the expectations for daily interactions with guests and co-workers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent service and a positive experience for all guests
  • Hire and train staff, using guidelines from Employee handbook and tools
  • Conduct weekly virtual staff meetings, following Fustini's and EOS guidelines
  • Schedule store hours
  • Schedule employees, keeping within quarterly hourly budget
  • Supervise staff on duty
  • Track employee production, performance, and conduct regular reviews according to EOS guidelines
  • Together with staff, reach established sales goals as set forth in manager meetings
  • Ensure store is stocked and product is bottled correctly, following established guidelines
  • Order product and store supplies from vendors and Fustini's production facility
  • Attend virtual quarterly company meetings
  • Attend virtual weekly management meetings
  • Attend quarterly Kerrytown meetings
  • Work with local community to establish Marketing Partner (primarily restaurant) relationships, and maintain and expand existing relationships
  • Purchase ingredients, coordinate staff for quarterly virtual staff cooking classes
  • Establish quarterly goals - “rocks”- at manager meetings
  • Weekly bank deposits and cash balance
  • Conduct product inventory weekly
  • Organize in-store events as directed by marketing
  • Responsible for planning seasonal decor changes and front window displays within Fustini’s Marketing department guidelines
  • Project production needs based on prior sales and plan for ordering, bottle labeling, filling, and stocking
  • Work collaboratively with other store managers, leadership team, warehouse, and marketing departments
  • Maintain store equipment, including iPads and music system
  • Training and employee development
  • Community Relationships- neighbors, vendors, non-profit organizations

Competencies

  • Leadership - Lead by setting a good example.
  • Organization – Keep store stocked, clean and organized, with proper signage
  • Service – Excellent customer service skills, ability to connect with public, ability to sign up guests for reward program
  • Professionalism - Approaches others in a tactful manner; reacts well under pressure; treat others with respect and consideration
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize daily
  • Experience with email, retail sales software. Shopify experience preferred. EOS experience preferred, not required

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years retail management experience
  • Interest in food and basic knowledge of home cooking
  • Supervisory experience

Physical Demands

  • Frequently required to stand and walk for long periods of time in a fast paced environment
  • Regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally lift 50 pounds
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
