Cabbage and Smoked Sausage Pasta

Ingredients
- 8 oz package of shortcut pasta (penne, farfalle, etc)
- 1/4 cup Fustini's Tuscan Herb olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 a head of green cabbage, shredded
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon Fustini's Parmesan Spice blend
- 2 tablespoons Fustini's 12 Year White balsamic
- 1/2 pound smoked sausage (beef, pork, chicken)

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese, divided

Directions
- Bring a pot of lightly salted water to a boil and cook pasta according to package directions.
- In a large sauté, pan or Dutch oven, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and cabbage, season with salt, pepper, and Parmesan spices, and cook, stirring often until tender, about 15 minutes.
Stir in half the parmesan cheese and balsamic along with the pasta and sausage. (use a little pasta water to loosen up the mixture if needed). Cook until all is completely heated through. Top with parmesan cheese before serving.
Recipe Note
