Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons Fustini's Cayenne Crush olive oil
- 1/2 cup thick-cut bacon or ham, diced
- 1 pound of ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 carrots, peeled and sliced
- 2 celery stalks, diced
- 2 Hungarian Sweet Peppers, seeded and diced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 3 cups tomato puree
- 1 cup chili beans, pinto beans, or navy beans, cooked, drained and washed
- 4 tablespoons Fustini’s Vinoso Wine Vinegar - plus more for garnish
- 1 - 3 tablespoons chili powder
- salt and pepper
- grated cheddar cheese
- sour cream
- 3 green onions, thinly sliced

- Place the olive oil in a large pot or Dutch oven over moderate heat. Add bacon, cook, until the bacon has rendered all fat then drain some fat before adding ground beef. Add ground beef and cook until all liquid is gone and beef is very brown - 20 - 25 minutes - stirring often. Add onion, carrot, celery, peppers and garlic and cook. Stirring often for 5 minutes. Add tomato, beans, Fustini&rsquo,s Vinoso Wine Vinegar and chili powder and bring to simmer over low heat. Cook, stirring often until all vegetables and meat are soft and chili has thickened - 60 minutes. Season with salt and pepper and serve with a drizzle of Fustini&rsquo,s Vinoso Wine Vinegar, cheddar cheese, sour cream and green onions.
